Presentation of the Fulbright Program @SISSA April 8th

We invite you to join the presentation of the Fulbright Program. The program provides funding opportunities for visits in the U.S. open to PhD students and all the scientific personnel.

The event will take place on April 8th, at 2:30 PM, in Room 128-129, 1st floor, SISSA

Dr. Laura Cambriani (Educational Advisor of the U.S. Italy Fulbright Commission) will present all the research opportunities.

The Fulbright Program, established in 1946, is the oldest academic cultural exchange program linking the United States with countries around the world (over 160 to date). Some countries, including Italy, operate through commissions: Dr. Laura Cambriani is an educational consultant for the Italian Fulbright Commission (founded in 1948) and also for EducationUSA, a US State Department agency that promotes the US academic system abroad.

On April 8th, she would like to present the research opportunities that allow doctoral students, postdocs, researchers, and professors to come to the USA for a few months, in order to promote mutual knowledge and cultural exchange between Italy and the United States, linking universities and research centers in both countries.

The Fulbright Program also provides opportunities for US students and scholars who wish to spend research periods in Italy.

In addition, the presentation will also introduce Fulbright opportunities to international scholars who may not know about Fulbright but are interested in spending time in the United States.

We would like to point out that the competitions are only open to Italians and Americans; international applicants must check if and how the program works in their respective countries and apply accordingly.
